My Christmas in Kuching

Honestly, I do not celebrate Christmas Day as I am not a Christian. Anyway, I did not waste such a day in Kuching. Together with my friends, I went out for the whole day. XDIt all started during the first second of 25th December. In my room, I was able to see the firecrackers through the windows. It was awesome. Beautifully presented. ^^V Moreover, the firecrackers show was continuous for almost 15 minutes! How much they have spent on this, I wonder. Anyway, I believe everyone enjoyed watching that especially those celebrating it as Christmas is a grand festival for them. Surprisingly, after the scene on firecrackers, I received 3 presents from my roommate, William. Wow, it was not expected. His parents sent the presents through the post. Thanks so much, William and his family. Merry Christmas!!!

Later, I headed to the common lounge to continue watching the movie shown. It was about the zombies... "Shanghai Noon" continued after that. Due to the tiredness, I went to sleep reluctantly. It was already 1.30am.
Consequently, I woke up at about 10am this morning. Hehe... Wasting the time on lining, I realised that it was about 1pm. Time to visit a friend, Zachery's home. A group of us went there by Ah Cheng's and Zach's cars. His house was a wooden house but with 2 Astros. LOL...

"Kampung" life is not bad. The air is refreshing and I was quite surprised to find such a house in Kuching. No offence, Zach. Nonetheless, we were given a warm welcome and served with a variety of delicious food. Yummy! Thanks Zach and his family. The most unique dish is the chicken cooked with wine and tea leaves. Delicious for the Sarawakians but not for the West Malaysians. The taste is a bit weird as we are not get used to it. May be it will take time for us to like it. XD One more, it was durian! First time tasting the local Sarawak durian, I will just say nice!!!I love Zach's cousin. She is very chubby and fat. She can laugh loudly and non-stop. What a child! We then left the house at 5.30pm and went back to the hostel.After an about one hour rest, Wei, Vincent, Boon and I went out again for our dinner. We went to MCJ Batu Kawa as a food and fun fair is held there. It is called the "Fabulous Food 1 Malaysia". Actually, I just knew this through Vincent just now though this fair was started on 1st December. XD

Filling up the stomach, we went walked around the shops there. There are a lot of clothes' shops and I managed to buy a cheap T-shirt. Tired and exhausted, we reached our hostel.

One phrase to conclude today's activities: Simple but quite enjoyable. Again, to those who celebrate Christmas, merry Christmas!

AVATAR

Finishing the mid-term on last Tuesday, we headed to the cinema again by virtue of to relieve the tension on the next day. Wow, how many movies have I watched for the past few months. Whatever, "Avatar" was our choice that day!


A brief synopsis I took from the Internet Movie Database:
The story's protagonist, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), is a former Marine who was wounded in combat on Earth and paralyzed from the waist down. He is selected to participate in the Avatar program, which will enable him to walk again. Jake travels to Pandora, a lush jungle-covered extraterrestrial moon filled with incredible life forms, some beautiful, many terrifying. Pandora is also home to the Navi, a sentient humanoid race that is physically stronger than humans, although considered primitive. Standing three meters tall, with tails and sparkling blue skin, the Navi live in harmony with their unspoiled world. As humans encroach deeper into Pandora's forests in search of valuable minerals, the Navi unleash formidable warrior abilities to defend their threatened existence. Jake has unwittingly been recruited to become part of this experiment. The Avatars are living, breathing bodies that are controlled by a human "driver" through a technology that links the driver's mind to the Avatar body. Watching at 10.45pm, we finished it at 1.30am. For the first time, I watched a late movie like this. We reached hostel about 2pm. One word to describe us: tiring. Despite the tiredness, we all felt that Avatar is a great movie. I extremely love the graphics and sound effects. They are well done and produced. I enjoyed watching the picturesque scenery in the new palnet called Pandora. It is magnificent! Applause for the production team!!!


We are all referred as the sky people by the Navi group. These sky people are the ones who invade their motherland in order to exploit a certain resource in their areas. Of course, the Navi tribe does struggle to protect their land. For me, Jake has made the right choice to help the Navi. Well, maybe we as humans should not be so greedy. Just appreciate what we own.


Conclusion: A amazing movie that you should not miss!


Spending Wednesday night on movie, we further enjoyed ourselves on Thursday night. >.<
We really forgot completely about the two hard subjects! The MPW- "Mata Pelajaran Wajib" which my friend will call them "Making People Worried". XD


Going out to dinner with Ah Cheng's car, we then went to his house. Wah, his house is so large and rich! O.O Jun described it as a castle! Haha... Since there was nothing to do, we just played Mahjong while the other two had their eyes on the television. HAIZ... That was not my day! I lost 6 matches consecutively. T.T Luckily we did not bet with money. :p


Reluctantly, we went back to the hostel again. It was a downpour on our journey back to hostel. All of us got so excited and screamed when the car drove past and the water splashed high up. =.=" By the way, thanks Ah Cheng!


Time is getting closer to the final examination as well as the holidays. But a lot of hurdles are needed to be overcome like the assignments, the presentations and the examinations. I dislike each and every of them. With the remaining 3 weeks, I really hope that I can cope well with all these, reduce my time spent to online or facebook and score good results for the two subjects! Hopefully...


Well, it is the end already. Again, go watch Avatar! I'm loving it~

Ben's Birthday~v~ *creamy night again*

Yesterday was Ben's birthday. We purposely acted like we all forgot already. *He must be quite disappointed* =p

In the evening, Jia Wei, Eu Kiong and I went to Secret Recipe to book a Tiramisu cake. The staff refused to take the deposit from us. Know why? I reveal later...

Oh ya, before booking the cake, Jia Wei and I went for a haircut. RM30 but with my Student ID card's discount, RM27!!! OMG, so so so expensive. Last time when I went here for the same purpose, it just costed me RM18.
WTH is the difference. It suddenly dawned on us about the "HAJI". *Li, i don't like "HAJI" as well* We shouldn't have choosen that day for the haircut. In addition, Jia Wei seemed to be dissatisfied with the outcome. LOL... For me, I felt like my hair look like a porcupine. =.="

Going back to the hostel, I found extremely bored with nothing to do except onlining and facebook-ing. SWT... Time passed... "ti tok ti tok ti tok ti tok"

Dinner time already... Together, we went out for the dinner. Thanks to "HAJI", the cafeterias in campus were closed. So, we needed to walk outside for having the dinner. Back to hostel again... *lame post, isn't it*

It was already 11pm. So, we decided to go and take the cake. Of course, some of us stayed in lounge to play DOTA with the birthday boy. Now, Chee Boon, Al Sum and I went to the shop. Why I went in both booking and collecting cake? =.=

When paying, we realised that the money was not enough. Thanks to Jia Wei's calculation which excluded the tax. I needed to pay extra RM4.>.<"""""""""""

Oh ya, the incident of refusing to accept the deposit. Actually, there was not need to pay the deposit as the cake was already made. All he needed to do was just writing "Happy Birthday, Ben" on it. So, even you did not go to collect it, they could still sell it as usual. XD

Inside Chee Boon's room, we decided where should we celebrate it. Decision was made. Congratulation to Al Sum. There was going to be a war in his room soon. Let's see.

With the cake, we all moved to the room. Knocked. Opened. It was Ben who looked surprised. *His birthday was ending soon*
Haha... Birthday song sung, candles blown, wishes made, cake cut...

Eating time!!! Tiramisu cake is not bad but too much will not be nice.
Hmm...

Cream...

Yes! Again... =.="

We played with the cream again....

Ben who was really over excited started to hug each and everyone in the room. No one was safe from the cream. Even Al Sum's bed sheet... Haha... The "high" Ben even poured out a packet of chili sauce. Oh, he was really high... Never mind, his birthday...

Then, the event ended with the cleaning of the room. After a late shower, we went to watch the videos. This time was earlier compared to my birthday. We went back to respective rooms at 2.45am.

My 18th Birthday ~♥~

No doubt, it is indeed a very late post... My birthday was on 12nd November 2009, kind of long time ago, right? >.<
However, I still want to blog this unforgettable and meaningful event out!!! ;-)

It was too coincident. My birthday fell on the revision week for my final examination. HAIZ... Last year, I spent my birthday doing SPM English paper in my school hall as well. However, I must still be happy as it was my birthday. The first birthday wish came from Yi Ching (my friend whom I knew through a competition), followed by my secondary school's classmate, Syazana and then came Lili's wish. Li, thanks for the post as well. They all came one after another continuosly at straight 12am. So touched!!! Haha...

As I was replying to their wishes, someone knocked the door suddenly. Must be my friends here to wish me, I guess. Opps, it was not them but was my floor representative who said that I needed to go meet the warden right now. Well, I guess it was a part from their plan. The moment I opened the door to staircase, I could not believe my eyes. The surprise was not my friends that stood there but was a birthday cake. I heard the birthday song sung by them. Honestly, I never expected a cake from them. In addition, it was bought from Secret Recipes. Touched again. T.T

We next went to Chee Boon's room for the celebration. My room was not used because my roomate was in his dreamland. XD

After taking some photos, we ate the BLACKFOREST cake together. The word is very special among us. :p
The cake was delicious. After that, the cream was what left behind. They certainly did not want to waste it. Al Sum started the "cream game".

"Since it is your birthday, so you must have it on your face" I forgot who said it but then, my face and hair were full of the cream. Yeee...

As a consequence from the war, the room was now dirty. Together, we cleaned the room. Then, all of us have to take a bath again at around 1am. Crazy, right? Still, it was of great fun.















This time, I received a call from Zhi Yang. The first birthday wish by call... Thanks, Yang!!! He even teased me that I only received three SMS wishes and a phone call till then. =.="


Later, we gathered in Al Sum's room to have a look on the photos and videos taken just now. All of us could not help ourselves from laughing loudly when we saw them. Haha... Sitting on the bed, we chatted till 3.30am in the morning before leaving back to own rooms. WOW! It was my first time staying up so late in Kuching or perhaps in my life so far...

The next day, I checked my Facebook account, there were quite a lot of wishes from my frineds. Thank you so much, guys!!! You all are the best!!! Nonetheless, some expected wishes did not arrived...

Thanks to Hotlink as well which gave me free calls on that day. Therefore, I felt like spending the whole day calling friends in Bedong, Penang, Perlis Matriculation College etc. Seemed like I really made good use of the gift that day. As a result, I did not do my revision on my subjects. Kind of worried at that moment... >.<

On my birthday as well, it was the first day whereby the movie 2012 was shown. We planned to watch but luckily we cancelled it. Heard that there were too many peoples going to MBO Cineplex that day.

Well, I guess it was the end for this post. Indeed, it was one of the most unforgettable birthday in my life. I love it so much... Thank you so much, friends!!! ♥♥♥♥

2012 - World Ending? + 东于哲 ♥

Summary of the days after my final exam till before the Summer Semester start:

Finishing my final exam paper on Physics, I felt extremely relieved. These three-days examination was indeed tiring. The two previous papers were done well but not for the last one, Physics. The questions were very familiar but they were too much! 15 more minutes left, I still got almost 5 to 6 questions to be completed. Nonetheless, I managed to finish it quickly. Checking the answers again? It was impossible, for me. :p

Again, we needed to find something as an entertainment after the hectic study week for the exam. In fact, we planned this before our exam started.

2o12~~~
Together with Boon and Sum, we headed to MBO, the nearest cinema for buying the tickets. 10 tickets altogether... Walking here and there to spend the time before the movie started, we all soon found ourselves in the cinema with all the other members. It is a cool and amzing movie!!! I like it so much. Of course, I won't hope it to happen in 2012. It was terrifying. As a conclusion, the story is well-planned and full of many touching scenes. Moreover, the graphics is very good and looks real. One character that I have to mention here, Sasha. XD A handsome and pityful pilot who actually made a big sacrafice. Anyway, do you believe that the world is going to end on that time? I myself can't give my thought. I still remember that an archeologist who came to my university to give a talk on pyramids. There was a listener who asked about the end of world on 21st December 2012. I will applause tremendously with his answer...



"Is the world going to end on 21st December 2012?" "Well, if you ask me what will happen if today is 21st December 2012, then I will say that I believe tomorrow is going to be 22nd December 2012." Let us be in that belief.^^


The days after this, I mean after my final exam, I seemed like living in a wrong life. Every night kept watching Youtube for "Guess Guess Guess" (hosted by Jacky Wu-the funniset host) until late in the night and waking up so late in the next morning, then I also started to touch the DOTA... OMG!!! Kind of addicted to it. >.<


21st November 2009 (today) , a young Malysian band called 东于哲 was coming to The Spring ( a shopping mall). A few of my friends and I went to have a look. I think it was my first to see the singers with my own eyes. XD The time they arrived should be 2.00pm but they actually came much later than that. HAIZ... However, we were aware of their arrival with the scream of the audience. They are two young and handsome teenagers with a sweet and attractive smile. Their voice are appealing as well. They sang their songs, including 太阳雨 which is one of my favourites, danced and played games with the audience. We tried to snap some photos of them. I, with my W705 handphone could only take some blur pictures as I stood quite far from the stage. T.T Also, they were promoting their new drama series, 高校铁金刚. If I am not mistaken, they are just 18 and 19 years old only. So young, yet start becoming others' idols. Haha... After that, they were giving signatures for those who had bought their albums. And it was time for us to leave... None of us bought the album. Haha...


Have been feeling quite tired recently... Probably due to my lifestyle now! Hopefully can make a change before my Summer Semester started next Monday. "Gambateh!"


Ending the post now... What should I do tonight? Well, I think it is going to be DOTA-ing with my friends again. Haha... Hope can win them later!!! *Sounds like impossible as they are all very good players* Bye first.

★ *´`*•Sorority Row•*´`*★女子杀人宿舍 O.O

Finally, all the continuous tests and quizzes came to an end, at least for the next two weeks. Now, it is time for doing the two last assignments on class magazine and designing a website for a shop. Haiz... What a hectic life!!! However, straight after the physics quiz today, we wanted to have a short while of enjoyment. Haha... Decided on relaxing, we went to the MBO cinema complex which is not far from our university for watching a movie.


SORORITY ROW
We came across this movie in the newspaper recently. It seemed a nice movie with the beautiful young ladies in the poster. XD Initially, I thought it would be a movie with all the ladies as the killers and their adventures.It was going to be interesting. But, I was totally wrong after watching this movie.

It is a horror movie!!! The plots are well planned that there are countless terrifying scenes throughout the whole movie. My heart was beating so fast during some scaring scenes. I had only one eye opened when I heard the horrifying sound effect. >.< Basically, the movie started with an accident murder of a girl from the sorority. As the result, the other girls are terrified with that incident even though they promised to keep it as a secret. Things are not going to be so easy. A mysterious guy kept on killing the other girls in the sorority who knew about the secret. While trying to save themselves, most of the girls still could not run away from the killer. Surprisingly, that stranger turned out to be the boyfriend of a girl in the club. I don't want to kill the thrill. Go and enjoy it. Or I should use the word of experience instead of enjoy. XD

This movie uses quite a few new creative ways to murder someone. One really scared me out is the killing of a girl while she was drinking. It was so horrible. It is indeed a successful horror movie as the story lines are very unpredictable. You better be brave enough to watch this movie. If not, you may be closing your eyes in the cinema all the time. Hehe... Watching what the murderer has done for his girlfriend, I suddenly think of what people always say love is blind. He loves his girlfriend but he does not show his love in an appropriate way. Interested in this movie? Just to watch it. You will be terrified, I bet. XD

It all started yesterday when I finished my Engineering Mathematics test. How on earth could I do that silly, stupid and crazy mistake! Initially, I still aimed to get 100% for this test but now just hope that I won't lose too many marks. T.T



I think this is the first time I feel so moody and disappointed for my performance in the test so far. Even I still wonder the reason behind this. Well, probaly I have put so much efforts for the test and yet, it seems that it isn't worthwhile. Haiz...



No pain, no gain. Is there necessary a gain if there is a pain we suffer?



Arrgh... I hate this feeling. I want to be happy. What happen to me? Sob, sob, sob, how cruel life can be... Hopefully I can settle it as soon as possible!



Today, I just sat for my IT practical test. And I am not having too much worry on it. The previous test has really killed me. Not longer after that, Chee Yang called me (he got an offer on calling freely today). We had a good conversation just now as we had not chatted for a long time. It really chilled me down from the anger. At least, for that particular moment... Now, I am blogging lonely. I hate to feel alone. My friends went out for lunch without asking me along. Maybe the car was full already. Maybe I am not friendly. Haiz...



Is it a test from the God to me now? If it is a yes, I think I just failed it.



What should I do now? Well, maybe I should start preparing for my coming General Mathematics test. It is actually an easy subject but it can also be a killer if carelessness still surrounds me.




Perhaps, I should follow my friends' and mother's advice. Let bygone be bygone. Perhaps, time is the best cure to my "injured" confidence.

Lantern Night~~~

Today was a tiring day. I had studied so late last night before waking up early this morning for my physics test. @.@
After finishing the test, one of my friends came and told me a mistake in the question of the test (or I should say it was my mistake XD). HAIZ~~ It is so discouraging when you find out that you have done a question wrongly straight away after a test! Nonetheless, I will argue over it! Hopefully!!!

Anyway, I felt so relieved as a test was over! Cheers !!!\(0.0)/

Wasting no time, I headed back to my room and started onlining. Not to mention, facebook was the first website I entered. LOL... I am addicted to it. >.<

Time passed so fast that it was approaching 6.30pm. Quickly, I changed my outfits and went to downstairs with my friends as we were going to Mr. Stephen's house for a celebration or gathering called Lantern Night. WOW... It seemed exciting and interesting!!! It was my first mooncake gathering in Kuching. Haha...

Soon, we arrived there. OMG!!! There were quite a lot of people. However, they are very friendly to us. I had shaken a lot of hands today. Hehe...

Next, we were enjoying the food. "Char Keutiau", nuggets, hotdogs etc. were what I ate. Delicious, I would say.

With a full stomach, we then played some games like guessing movie names and "animal game"(hard to describe). XD

During the bible sharing session, i just kept myself silent and listened to the stories from the bible. No comment on that!!!

Before leaving, we played a card game known as Saboteur. It was my favourite part of the night!!!^^ The game is so interesting! To find out more, kindly search it online because I was too lazy to explain it. Hehe...

Finally, I was back in my hostel. Well, it was the end of one more day. Should I be happy with that? I mean the end of a day more... I doubt...

A Simple Holiday~v~

21st of September was indeed a great day. Not only was it a holiday ("Selamat Hari Raya"), it was also meaningful, at least for me. Let me divide my activities on that day into three parts.

Morning[@.@]
I should have woken up at about 11am or 12noon since it was a no-school day.^.^
However, i woke up at around 9am. Still in sleepy mood, i went brushing my teeth and started my lone "gotong-royong" plan. It had been one week ago since i cleaned my room. Seriously, my room was so dirty that I could not ignore it anymore. Albeit tired and sleepy, i gathered my strength and began the cleaning process. Sweeping, mopping, moving stuffs, changing bed sheet and pillow case, and so on were I was doing yesterday morning. It was really consuming my energy. My room was totally in mess during the cleaning process. Luckily my roomate was not around. Haha...
Ater 2 hours, yes, is 2 hours, I managed to finish my task. \(^.^)/ At least my room now was spick and span. So proud of myself.XD

Finally, my room is tidy! But I am not sure how long will it last... Hehe...



Afternoon+Evening[^v^]
Initially, I was going to a shopping mall called Boulevard (sound like Bollywood) with my friends. LOL...
Suddenly, I received a call from my another friend, Mr. Stephen who asked me to join him and his companies to a BBQ and picnic near a waterfall. Cool, I guess. After discussing with my friends, we decided to go picnicking rather than shopping. LOL... Of course, the kind Mr. Stephen fetched us to the quite far Matang Family Park. Reaching there, we entered the park after Mr. Stephen paid the adminission fees. Thank you, Mr. Stephen!!! Wow, the scene inside is awesome! It is so natural with all the tall and unique trees and a beautiful small waterfall. The water is so clean and clear. I could not wait to put my legs into the refreshing water. Haha... The next moment, we were preparing for the BBQ! Lighting up fire was of great fun! Four of us tried our best to light up the charcoal as soon as possible because we were so hungry at that time.XD Later, the "rescue team" arrived, I mean Mr. Stephen's family members. They were very skilful in doing this that we could enjoy our late lunch then (it would take longer time without them). Hehe...
After the meal, fun time!!! However, we decided not to wet ourselves completely, so we just went down and immersed our legs into the cold water. Extra care is needed when walking in the water as the stones and rocks there are so slippery. I almost fell down. Hehe... We also took some pictures there. Those in the photo are Jia Wei, Chee Boon and me. They are my classmates.













At about 5.30pm, we were heading home. For me, it was totally enjoyable! I had a great fun that day!

Night[=.=]
Well, i did not exactly enjoy my night time as too many things to do. Plus, we needed to go The Spring (a shooping mall) for dining. HAIZ... Taking a walk in the food court, we then went to a fast food restaurant called Sugarbun. RM6.3o for a small amount of chicken rice!!! HAIZ again...

Nice design of that restaurant, no wonder the food is so expensive!!!






That was my day of 21st of Septmber. No doubt, it was a happy day!^^

Among us three, lili was the first one that started her studies after SPM. I think that time was around March or April. That day, she called me and said that she was leaving to Segi College in Penang. Wow... I was a bit surprised when I heard that news as it was just after a few days of our SPM results announcement. Some more, she talked me that she was going to stay there, i mean Penang. However, you can see her almost weekly in Bedong, Summer, Central Square, etc. XD Anyway, she is going well in her Segian life. Applause, please!

Next, let's move to vin. She is an AIMST-ian (correct?) now! Taking foundation in pharmacy, she are so interested in Biology. Haha. As usual, she is very busy with life in university like assignments, projects and so on. But i believe that she is able to cope well, right? So, wishing her can excel there and enter her desired course later (heard that the places for pharmacy are quite limited).

Shifting again, from vin to yang. Well, I had a very drastic change in my studies after SPM. From College Matriculation Perlis, I moved to Swinburne University of Technology in Sarawak. Lol... Then, from life science course, I switched to foundation in engineering here. Lol again... Thanks for PSD for this "surprise". In fact, I am now here in Kuching for the fifth week already. Time really flies, how right is my English lecturer in saying this! Although I have already adapted well here, I am still very looking forward for my holidays and going back to Bedong to meet other 91-ians! Miss you all. guys!

yangyang...now is in sarawak...he is the only one bedong 91ian that got the chance given by government to further his greater studies in SARAWAK..!

last few months he was taking medic in KMP...
